WHAT YOU CAN RECYCLE
Please send us any brand and type of rigid lab plastics including centrifuge tubes, plastic bottles, trays, vials, and beakers.
Do not send in:
- Tubes and rigid lab plastics that are contaminated with materials considered hazardous or dangerous, according to the European-wide list of wastes Regulation (AVV)
- Hazardous waste (sharp, flammable, reactive, corrosive, ignitable, toxic, infectious or pathogenic) which presents a danger to the environment, or to people
- Batteries, pressurized canisters, broken glass and medical waste
Important: We do not collect any hazardous waste containing substances with toxic, reactive, corrosive, infectious, flammable, explosive properties or harmful to human health and the environment. Please make sure that you do not mix hazardous waste with non-hazardous waste. As the waste producer, it is your responsibility to classify the waste. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

- Ship: Send it back to TerraCycle with the prepaid return label on your system.*

Important Shipping Restrictions
For the Zero Waste Box system to work effectively and safely, please follow these simple shipping guidelines on how and what you can ship back to TerraCycle:
- Only send in items this system accepts. Sending in items that fall outside the selected category causes contamination and the need for added separation, which increases costs.
- Do not send in household items that may be considered hazardous waste. These include items such as batteries, lithium-ion batteries, pressurized canisters (including aerosols), pesticides, oil-based paint or medical sharps, organics, broken glass, biomedical waste, soiled diapers, or expired medication.Do not send in anything sharp, flammable, reactive, corrosive, ignitable, radioactive, toxic, infectious, or pathogenic.
- Do not ship dripping packages. Please make sure all excess product has been removed before putting it in your Zero Waste Box. If you choose to rinse your items, please note that the system must be completely dry prior to shipping.
